Responsible e-Scrap Recycling

Guaranteed Responsible Recycling in UAE

A Safe Choice

By choosing to responsibly recycle your unwanted electrical equipment, you are joining a movement that will protect the environment we live in. The effects are not just felt in the UAE. EnviroServe has a global network of partners who have adopted the international standards established by the United Nations Environment Programme, and the WEEE (Directive 2002/95/EC).

Our work falls under Directive 2002/96/EC, which promotes the collection and recycling of electrical equipment. Our partner factories use processes regulated under ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, with these accreditations being audited by global industry bodies. So your choice to secure the environment is fully supported by our dedicated team.

e-Scrap recycling

How to get started?

Getting started is a simple 3-step process.

  • We listen to you and make sure we understand your challenges.

  • We propose an operational model that can be delivered with the minimum of hassle to you and your neighbors.

  • We agree a simple MoU/Service Agreement.

After that, you have access to our on-call pick up services, and can call to speak to an expert with at least 5 years experience in recycling laws in UAE.

Sometimes we are able to recover some of the value from your unwanted items, so we have a network of established charities, so others can benefit from your unwanted waste.

How we deliver your service?

If your e-Scrap is in the UAE, all you have to do is call us and we will send an EnviroServe truck within three working days. We offer further collection options that involve our logistics partner Aramex. But we take care of everything for you!

If your e-Scrap is outside UAE, our logistics partners help co-ordinate a collection from anywhere in the Middle East. But, again we take care of everything for you!

What happens then?

EnviroServe’s processes are transparent to all its partners. We make a record of every item received. Once the items are consigned to us, we offer you two options from which you can choose:

  • We can start the process of segregation and destruction and send all equipment overseas to accredited refineries for smelting and raw materials extraction.

  • We can sort it and hand it over for re-use whereby part of the proceeds will be given to charity.

  • Within two weeks of your order, we send you a record sheet called EnviroServe’s Green Certificate.

Data Removal

Whilst your hardware might be unwanted, you will certainly want to make sure than any data on the hardware is never used again.

This is managed in one of two ways:

  • If your hardware is being destroyed, EnviroServe uses an on-site HDD shredder within its secure factory. This beast crushed Hard Disks of any size -smashed and shredded to tiny pieces in seconds. You can even participate to ensure each HDD is destroyed!

  • If your hardware is being re-purposed, EnviroServe uses certified and accredited software which ensures 100% data erasure on all IT assets. (servers, HDDs, PCs, Mobile phones etc)

After data removal, all destroyed media is processed and recycled according to Basel Convention. As with all e-Scrap you get a stamped and signed Green Certificate confirming that you did your job according to the guidelines.
